As his mother recalls, his music interests began at age 3 when he was heard playing the "meow mix" commercial theme song by ear on his grandparents' piano. Soon after, he began taking piano lessons and performed his first recital at age 6 playing Beethoven's Fur Elise. He went on to study piano through out his school years and into his college career as a piano performance, vocal performance and organ performance, declaring a triple primary in his musical studies. He now continues his studies with his vocal coach and dear friend Carol Meyer Willingham, a classically trained Opera Singer with an extensive Opera career, most notably as a principal soprano for nine consecutive years at the Metropolitan Opera in New York City, with whom he performs frequently.

Jason has had the opportunity to perform all over the world with the Continental Singers and Orchestra, his family's ministry, and his solo career. His career has taken him to some of the finest venues including concert halls, churches, cathedrals, and auditoriums through out more than 40 of the United States in such cities as Los Angeles, Dallas, Chicago, Philadelphia, and New York. His musical travels have also led him throughout Western Europe and the United Kingdom including performances in London, Liverpool, Glascow, and Belfast.
